SURFACES

Biomat offers a wide range of Surfaces to support life science’s manufacturers and researchers in the IVD sector.

Biomat has long developed special Surfaces on its plastic products (microplates, PCR products and other products) for diagnostic and medical applications.

All these Surfaces’ of Biomat products are obtained by coating or treatment of plastic surfaces and allow, to the  final customers, the affinity bonding and the detection of molecules in various assays.

Assays that exploit the potential of these surfaces are, for example: Cell-based Assay, ELISA assay, CLIA, FIA and many more immunoassay techniques.

All coated or treated surfaces are product following rigid coating (or treating) protocol to uniform and standardize the manufactured process.

Featured Coated Surfaces

Aminated (primary amine)
Carboxylated
Maleimide
Amine, Carboxyl, Maleimide Coated Surfaces can be used for binding peptides or other molecules through covalent specific bonds.
Biotin
Biotin Coated Surfaces can be used in immunoassays with avidin, streptavidin, neutravidin or other biotin-binding proteins.
Calmodulin
Calmodulin Coated Surfaces can be used in assays for binding specific proteins mainly with hydrophobic sites in their surface.
Heparin catcher
Heparin Binding Coated Surfaces can be used to immobilize heparin without having to modify the molecule in some way.
Coated surfaces for Immunotoxicity ELISA test
KLH (Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin), Tetanus Toxoid, DNP (Dinitrophenol) or TNP (Trinitrophenol) are ideal for to set up ELISA IgM and IgG assays to be used as biomarkers of immunotoxicity.
Concanavalin A
Jacalin
Wheat germ
Lectin Coated Surfaces can be used in assays for binding carbohydrate-binding proteins and glycoproteins.
Mab Anti Tag
Anti-GST (Glutathione S-Transferase), Anti-His (Polyhistidine) and Anti-DYKDDDDK are useful for screening sera for antibodies to the fusion protein and are ideal to determine the presence and concentration of tag-fusion proteins from cell lysates.
Mouse Monoclonal Antibodies Isotyping ELISA
Goat anti mouse Igs Fc specific (IgG subclasses 1, 2a, 2b, 3 and IgA and IgM classes) and goat anti mouse light chain (kappa and lambda) are used for qualitative isotype determination of mouse immunoglobulins.
Poly-D (or L)-Lysine
Poly-L-Arginine
Poly-L-Lysine
Polyamino acids Coated Surfaces can be used to exploit their high density of ɑ amino, ɑ carboxyl, ɛ amino, guanidine groups to react through electrostatic and stereospecific bonds.
Protein A
Protein A/G
Protein G
Protein A, G and A/G Coated Surfaces provide alternative to direct, passive adsorption methods for immobilizing antibodies for ELISA and other plates-based assay techniques.
Secondary Antibodies
  • Goat anti-mouse IgG
  • Goat anti-rabbit IgG
coated surfaces can be used for binding antibodies when they are available in low quantities, denaturated and even when they are present in an impure protein samples.
Neutravidin
Streptavidin
Streptavidin High Binding
Streptavidin, Streptavidin HB and Neutravidin Coated Surfaces can be used in immunoassays for binding antibodies or probes for ELISA and other target-specific assays.
